this review is out of repeated frustration regarding loose, , and poorly packed pre-rolls; it's happened at least three to four times in the last six months, specifically with single rolls. I frequent at least three other shops in the immediate area. I have noticed lack of consistency exclusively at this location and another dispensary near Madison and Halsted. Also I've shopped at least 10 times at the Midway location and no problems The integrity of the same products sold at other, local shops (including a recently opened one in the South Loop) have been notably better. The first few times, I dismissed it, assuming the papers were larger or the staff was simply busy. It is starting to feel personal, leaving me to wonder if Ascend values customers differently based on their spending level or if they tip (such as tipping for a non-tourist, pre-order). My annual spend of $200–$300 may not be substantial to Ascend, it should be enough to warrant consistent, high-integrity products. I plan to update this review shortly with photos comparing the same brand/strain and pre-roll purchased at Ascend versus two of its local competitors. Hopefully, this will shed light on whether I'm overreacting, or if theres a true quality control lapse happening here.

They were great with helping me solve an issue that I had when I first came Which allow me to make my purchase smoother and provide me with extra above and beyond service. I want to thank the manager for coming up with a solution in the heat of the moment and keeping his cool. It was definitely a five star performance by him and the tech who serves me. Always a pleasure going there one of my favorite dispensaries in the loop.
