Correcting an earlier read of ours: South Carolina's potency standard is genuinely delta-9 only, and the post-decarboxylation requirement at 46-55-20(B)(2)(b) binds only 'hemp produced in the State' under the USDA plan, so it never reached imported retail flower. The exposure is licensing instead. 46-55-10(9) provides that 'Unprocessed or raw plant material, including nonsterilized hemp seeds, is not considered a hemp product', and 46-55-30 exempts only 'hemp products and extracts' from the chapter. Since 'handling' means 'possessing or storing hemp for any period of time' and 46-55-20(A)(1) makes it unlawful to cultivate, handle or process hemp without a license, an unlicensed retailer stocking raw buds or pre-rolls falls outside the exemption. Extracts, edibles, vapes and tinctures are squarely exempt. Contested: cured packaged flower is arguably converted 'into a marketable form' and therefore a hemp product.

Separately, the federal hemp definition changes on November 12, 2026, when total THC replaces delta-9 as the test and finished products are capped at 0.4 mg of total THC per container. That applies nationwide regardless of state law.

I do a lot of traveling and I like to have Delta-8 when I’m in a non-legal state, and this shop was by far my favorite. Apple Maps couldn’t find the location based on the name of this google page, but the address listed here is accurate. The shops actual name is Kylé. They have a broad and diverse selection of products, including their own in-house disposable carts. It was all high quality and for a good price. The staff is amazing as well! I had seen some products I hadn’t encountered before and they were helpful to answer my questions. We had a great conversation and the vibe was very friendly and welcoming. I know I will be returning whenever I am passing through South Carolina.
