We went here Saturday night while downtown Christmas festivities were going on. Despite the crowd, we were seated right away, which was great. It was busy, but not overwhelmingly so. Our server came by promptly for drinks. I asked about their regular cocktails, but she couldn’t recall what they typically make. I mentioned a Bahama Mama and she asked what was in it. I knew it included coconut rum but wasn’t sure of the rest. She suggested another cocktail and assured me it had coconut rum, but it absolutely did not, which was disappointing. I ordered chili as a starter, but it was mistakenly brought out as nachos. She apologized several times and quickly corrected it, which I appreciated. The food itself was good. However, I asked for mustard with my burger and never received it. By that point I was hungry and ready to leave, so I just ate it without. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but service was a bit disorganized, especially considering it was busy but not that busy. With a little more attention to detail, this could have been a much better experience.

The egg roll appetizer was amazing! The actual BBQ was subpar at best. Little to no smoke flavor for a smokehouse. The “Texas style” brisket was no where close to anything I’ve had in Texas and was very moist roast beef at best. The ribs were actually pretty good. The pork belly reminded me of a thick fresh side bacon. I wouldn’t go back for anything BBQ related but everything else was great.

The garlic mashed potatoes were bland with no flavor, the waiter immediately exchanged them for sweet potato fries (my choice) which were so overcooked they weren't even edible. Another person at my table had the same fries and they were delicious. Couldn't help but feel like they maybe overcooked mine on purpose because I sent the potatoes back?

Sat outside on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Good interactions with staff. Food was just okay. We ordered the fried Mac & cheese, Texas brisket sandwich with baked beans, and my husband got the boss hog burger with fries. I think the best part of the whole meal was my baked beans. They were definitely different than expected. They tasted more like they belonged in chili than most baked beans. Our waitress was nice and attentive. Overall it was not worth the prices. $53 for two waters, fried Mac & cheese, sandwich w/ side, and burger w/side.

Had a large party- service excellent and server very efficient and pleasant. Fun atmosphere, upbeat. Food- well $25 for sliced corned beef ( very fatty) and a very small portion of bone-in chicken with decent baked beans, (which were very good) and a small side of garlic mashed potatoes ( not creamy nor hot) Suggestions? Leaner corned beef, larger chicken portion as well as mashed potatoes ( low cost item to put out, cost pennies to serve larger portion) $25 price point is high unless above improvements are made. My friends beef brisket looked like a nice portion and enjoyed. Will be back and hope management takes review as constructive criticism in a very hard and competitive business- Will definately be back and hope to see these small changes inproved on!
