I’ve been a loyal customer of New Hope Smoke Shop for several years, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I recently purchased the “Super 7OH” product (pictured) and had a severe adverse reaction almost immediately. I’ve used similar products for years and know what is normal for my system — this was not. Something was clearly off with this batch. When I returned to the store, I calmly explained that the product made me feel terrible and asked if I could exchange it for a comparable option at the same price point (specifically a standard “percs”/kratom capsule product I normally purchase here). Instead of professionalism or basic customer service, the employee on duty laughed at me. I was not asking for a refund, handout, or upgrade — simply an even exchange for a safe and consistent alternative. Most reputable shops stand behind the products they sell, especially when a regular customer reports a potentially defective or unsafe batch. Being laughed at rather than taken seriously is unacceptable, and it raises concerns about product quality control and how customer issues are handled. After years of giving this store my business, I expected better.
