Drove to Kent because I wanted to try this new “dispensary” but it in fact was definitely not a dispensary basically glorified stuff you get from the gas station. The younger guy that was working was arguing with me about how it’s the same stuff you buy from an actual dispensary but it’s most definitely not. please be truthful with people about your products. I’ve been apart of Ohios medical marijuana program for 5 years save yourself the trip and hassle and just go to Bliss its 5 minutes down the road
Baleigh, We're very sorry for the experience you had in store. We try to make it apparent on our Google page that we are not a medical cannabis dispensary, along with the vast differences in our storefront styles. Our goal is to teach and inform customers about the similarities between the products, so I apologize if it came off as argumentative. Possibly, I could have asked more in-depth what you were specifically looking for, to help guide you in the right direction. In the end - I recommended Bliss for your convenience, as it is the closest shop that provides medical marijuana. We have served an abundance of happy customers for close to 2 years with high-end service and high-end THC/CBD products, neither of which are found in gas stations. Our credibility and expertise is much higher than that. Again, very sorry for the inconvenience! - Jacob
Then coming to this place since it open to been treated like family since day long very educated place very informed cool atmosphere for all age groups
I went to an event over the weekend and this place had a booth there. The lady in charge was making a lot of false claims about what she's selling. Delta variants are not all the same. Even if delta nine is regular THC, what she has is extracted from hemp, not from cannabis. It's not identical. But what really got me was her saying the amanita muscaria gummies she sells give the same experience as psilocybin mushrooms, and that both mushrooms are in the "same family." They aren't. The psychoactive compounds are different and they have a different impact on the brain. Amanita is a lot harsher than psilocybin and a lot of people have negative experiences with it. Yet she's making it sound like the experience will be magical and life changing. Aside from the false claims, she was pretty rude and condescending to me when I asked a simple question. I'm sure this review will get a long rebuttal explaining how wrong I am. But I've been a psychonaut for years. I know my psychedelics and I know a fair amount about weed/THC. While the booth looked nice and the stuff they sell is colorful and appealing to look at, the BS she's pushing and the rudeness cancel all that out. I was not impressed. EDIT: This lengthy rebuttal proves my point exactly. I was at the booth for a few minutes looking at stuff and listening to the lady talk to customers. I said six words: "Is all your stuff delta 8?" She snapped at me and said there's no difference. I, personally have a sensitivity to delta 8. It gives me bad headaches. So I need to know what I'm buying. Your excuse about not having time to educate people at events and people "making a scene" is really grasping for straws. I heard her lie to two people about the mushrooms. So there's no time to educate, but plenty of time to lie, apparently. I don't need to familiarize myself with the industry. You need to familiarize yourself with the products you're selling. Good luck. Oh, and I'm still not impressed. :D
Ryan, Thank you for your review. While I do not want to be argumentative, I would kindly ask that you do a bit more research into your statements. Hemp is in fact cannabis. The difference between hemp and traditional marijuana boils down to nothing more than legal classification. As such, I can say, with scientific proof to substantiate, that it is identical to traditional D9. Your statements concerning amanita vs psilocybin are somewhat true - they are not identical plants. However, each user’s experience is slightly different and as such numerous people have relayed to us similarities between the two in their journeys. Your personal experiences may not confirm such, but to imply they are wildly different is a bit misleading for that reason. PLUS, psilocybin is federally illegal so if you want to acquire psychedelics from a reputable company amanita muscaria is the only way to go. Events are a difficult place for vendors to dive into this education piece because time is limited between customers. If a customer is confrontational towards our product due to a mis-conception of what cannabis or psychedelics are, a responsible vendor will thank them for their time and move to next person interested in potentially purchasing a product. If that customer continues to create a scene they are politely thanked for their opinion and attention is re-focused to another potential patron. You appear to consider this “rude” however, I would contend that it would be MORE rude of us to engage in such discussion with a single person causing numerous others to wait. We want to assure we are as attentive to everyone to the extent we possibly can be, and are sorry that you found this “rude”. I would encourage you to familiarize yourself a bit more with the cannabis industry. I can say with confidence that a visit to our location in Kent and discussion with one of our exceptional budtenders would be an enlightening experience for you. EDIT (owner here): Ryan, I appreciate you taking the time to further this conversation. It is obviously a topic that you feel strongly about and applaud your convictions. I would fully embrace having a conversation with your directly on this topic should you so choose, just reach out to our Kent e-mail and ask to setup a time to speak with the owner. Given the amount of time and resources that our company dedicates towards assuring an open and free market for cannabis products for people like yourself (we are members of USHRT, HIFA, AHAA, PAHCG, and I personally lobby on behalf of cannabis at state and federal levels) mild offense is taken when reviews are made that are factually incorrect. We attempted to educate and in return you edited to move your review towards being slanderous. You may be used to dealing with companies in this space that are uneducated and lack appropriate training for their employees. Paper & Leaf is NOT one of those companies, and I am happy to open a direct dialog to both prove this point in addition to assuring that the misunderstanding you experienced is not repeated. P.S. - yes, our review responses are wordy and lengthy. Much like a traditional customer experience in our store, we feel that the best approach is through education which necessitates some detail.
